Comprehensive Uniform Check on 14 April

There will be a comprehensive attire check on 14 April that will include hair and nails, bearing and turnout. All cadets are to follow the BP St John Standing Orders and school rules strictly. Disciplinary action may be taken on any cadet who fails to pass the attire check, as ample warning has been given beforehand.


Things to look out for:
1)Berets are to be seasoned, and the rim of the beret should be parallel to the ground, with the crest above the left eye.
2)For the nursing cadets, hair should not be flying out, hairnet must be worn properly, and those whose hair are touching their shoulder are to bun up their hair. Only black hair accessories are allowed. For the ambulance cadets, no fringe should be seen, no side burns, and hair should not be touching the collar.
3)Shirts are to be tucked in all the way.
4)Belts are to be worn properly, with the buckle at the center and the metal end sticking out appropriately.
5)Pants and skirts should be at appropriate lengths. This means that it should be at least knee length for the nursing, and for the ambulance, no socks should be seen when sitting down.
6)Socks are to be at least four fingers above the ankle, and only black socks are allowed.
7)Shoes are to be polished to the extent that it can show a reflection.
8)Uniform should be well ironed and clean. No creases should be seen.
9)All ranks and badges are to be properly put on.
10)All nails should not extend beyond the fingers.
11)All ranks should not cover the collar badge, and the collar badge should be pinned appropriately, with the 'THE' closest to the collar.


NOTE: All are to address OCTs as 'sir' and not 'instructor' in future.
